Group 4

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4Keith Allen and Richard Parsons have been making music together since January 2002, after Keith answered Richards advert posted in a Taunton music shop. Keith started his musical career as a drummer in various London bands, including The Perfect Strangers and cult band The Times, playing on assorted singles, albums and tours. On moving down to the West Country without a band, Keith decided to swap the drums for something easier to carry, picked up a guitar and started composing. Richard is a classically trained singer and pianist who discovered the world of recording and music production after returning to Somerset with a degree in Media / Design studies from Staffordshire University. He was also a runner-up in a national remix competition, run by Computer Music magazine, where he remixed vocals provided by Sam Brown. Group 4 evolved after Keith and Richard realised that although their musical tastes were diverse, Richards technical and musical wizardry, combined with Keiths song-writing and vocal talent created an atmospheric, song-driven sound. Both perform and handle production decisions on Group 4 sessions, with tracks recorded at both members home studios. As well as recording, Group 4 have taken their show on the road and play live across Somerset****STOP PRESS***Now as a 4 piece with Adrian Kelly on Bass and Paul Holbrook on drums and percussion
