About Me

I was born in California with a flyswatter banjo on my knee.
Running the gamut from one-man-band to sell-your-soul-to-the-devil-blues by way of clawhammer banjo, slide banjo, 12 string guitar, kazoo and stringed contraptions made out of tin cans.
You Gonna need Somebody on your Bond - One Man Band: Slide Banjo, Kazoo, High Hat and Bass Drum, Voice. (from my album Sings Songs for the Masses )
Pretty Polly - Fingerstyle 5 String Banjo, Voice. (from Sings Songs for the Masses )
Ol' Virginee - 12 String Guitar, Voice. (from Sings Songs for the Masses )

You'll find more tunes from Sings Songs for the Masses there and how to order it.
I've been playing shows around Vermont recently with my friend Casey Abair on fiddle, the first three tunes in the player are with him:
Last Chance - from Hobart Smith's fiddling.
Coo Coo - from John Snipes, Dink Roberts and Rufus Kasey.
In the Pines - from Leadbelly, Art Rosenbaum, Bill Monroe and others.
Here's a video of us playing John Brown's Dream:
