Jason Blackerby is a freelance Audio Engineer, Producer, and Musician based in Florida and the Southeastern region, and operating primarily out of Orlando and Tampa, FL. A graduate of one of the largest, most prestigious, and most technically advanced audio schools in the world – FullSail – he has shaped a long phase of musicianship and band experience into a blossoming and successful career behind the scenes. Raised in the digital age, trained by legendary innovators and survivors of the old school, he possesses a substantial modern skill set backed by a strong base in traditional recording techniques.

Following his graduation as one of the top students in his class, he has worked in high-end commercial facilities since day one of his career. He spent an initial stint as an intern, assistant, and eventually as an engineer at Trans-Continental Studios in Orlando before moving on to being deeply involved in the construction and operation of multi-Grammy-Award-winner Eric Schilling's Norfolk Studios . Recently, he has started work at Morrisound Recording in Tampa, FL, under the tutelage of celebrated engineer/producers, brothers Jim and Tom Morris . His clients benefit from easy access to the best tracking and mixing rooms in the area and – depending on the demands of specific projects - a close group of contacts including heavy-hitters of production, mixing, and mastering.

Jason is efficient and effective with Digidesign’s ProTools , both large and small format consoles, and all sorts of vintage and modern outboard gear. This is engineering knowledge gained from working in professional environments, and is not limited solely to work in the studio. Jason’s list of credits also includes both location recording projects and live sound reinforcement gigs. All this adds up to experience that will save you time, money, and stress – without sacrificing the highest standards of audio quality.
