About Me

So like anyone else I've got my strengths and weaknesses but I'm continually reminded that any personal characteristic or tendency that one posesses can be potentially beneficial or harmful to humanity depending on the situation to which it's applied as well as its intensity (i.e. moderation or excess). Well at least that's what I tell myself when I do something really stupid.... Aside from my somewhat analytical tendency, I have a passion for music (violin was my first love), all aspects of performance/theater and of course the Baha'i Faith. I also LOVE rain in Hawaii, um my first word was "Cheese", I used to know the name of every dog breed in the American Kennel Club (my biggest accomplishement to date), I'm an obsessive compulsive email checker, oh and I'm allergic to chocolate, salt water, and metal. Seriously.

travel (with as much avoidance of cultural tourism as is possible), challenging myself, meeting people with diverse perspectives, learning languages, playing violin and Balinese gamelan, jogging EARLY in the morning, all beach related activities, Balinese dance, tango, salsa, salsa, and salsa

I'd like to meet:

People who can jump rope while balanced on their pinky fingers. If I don't find anyone who can do that, well then I'll settle for open-minded individuals with a sense of compassion and integrity who articulate their opinions, strive for self-betterment, and do NOT consciously choose to live in a bubble of ignorance away from the issues that face our global community.
