The Taciturn and Reluctant Leader

About Me

I'm a taciturn adult(?) male sporting brown hair and wrapped all over with bland clothing. I'm younger in mind than I am in body, due to excessive exposure to cartoons. I usually don't talk much because I find that, generally speaking, I suck at it. I am very romantic, but only in a literary sense.

I like to draw.

ladies get the first drink free

Sometimes, when I'm approaching an automatic door, I pretend to open it telekinetically. I do the hand gesture and everything.

I go to the movies alone, and this is all your fault.

I was killed on level 2, by a newt, while helpless.

You can call me Walter Mitty.

I am:
maudlin
worried
obscure
naive
stagnant
errant
intrepid
error
sedentary
lovelorn
heroic
unassuming
blooming late
a beggar and a chooser
playing Call of Duty 4
a libertarian left (-2,-3)

My Interests

Drawing with a pencil is very fun, however I've been known to use anything I can get my hands on. Skateboarding is very fun, however my kickflips are getting a little sloppy. Photography is very fun, however Tempe isn't a photographically interesting town. Video games are very fun, however I'd say I spend too much time playing them. Writing is okay, however I don't really write anything good. Women can be very fun, however they scare the crap out of me.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone willing to remove me from my shell. It'll be gruesome, and might require a couple sticks of dynamite along with saintly patience.

If you're going to befriend me (for something other than to raise your friend count), send me a message saying something that isn't a sales pitch to a sex site (an introduction would be nice) otherwise you will be denied/marked as spam. If you remain silent afterwards expect to be removed.

Music:

Millencolin, Modest Mouse, They Might Be Giants, Thrice, Incubus, At the Drive-In, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Society of Invisibles, Foo Fighters, The Killers, Smashing Pumpkins, Cake, The Offspring, The Bravery, Muse and nerdy video game music.

Movies:

Comedies, artsy-fartsy shit and animation (preferably traditional). I've also started to get into some westerns. So if I start talking like Clint Eastwood, please fall down when I "shoot" you. I've also just remembered how great Little Nemo: Adventures In Slumberland is.

Television:

The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, Codename: Kids Next Door, Ed Edd & Eddy, Venture Brothers, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Dexter's Laboratory, Robot Chicken, Kids In The Hall.

Books:

Star Wars: A New Jedi Order series, The Sorcerer's Stone, Eragon, Eldest, The Fellowship of the Rings, The Foundation Series, a bunch of photography books and textbooks.

Heroes:

Isaac Asimov, Chuck Jones, Tex Avery, Charles M. Schulz, Pete Abrams, Shigeru Miyamoto, Ansel Adams and Walter Mitty.
