A Closing Skyline was a metalcore band from Charlotte, NC. The band began in late 2001 and ended up September 2005. During their run A Closing Skyline released one full length album, one EP and a handful of different demos. They toured the Southeast multiple times, created a significant following in their hometown influencing a wave of metalcore bands in the Charlotte area and went through several line up changes. During the last chapter of A Closing Skyline their music shifted somewhat drastically from a "melodic" sound to a more "chaotic" sound which was ultimately the reason the band decided to split and start a new project. Members went on to form The Fire The Flood, The Hardy Boys and For Hope and Revenge.
