Matt Beckler

About Me

Matt Beckler's music does not subscribe to one genre. A folk element lies at the core of his songs, surrounded by myriads of influences, layering the context of each album. As the music ebbs and flows, the listener is drawn steadily through sonic landscapes, subtle and lush. Matt draws his inspiration from many different places - Dylan, the delta blues, ambient noise - yet there is a defining congruency to each project, leading the listener to a new place every time, both lyrically and musically. His unmistakable voice provides a common thread in an outpouring of honest, comtemplative, unique songwriting.
