HotFreeLayoutsThe streets of NEW YORK CITY pose many questions on a day to day basis .... questions on Family,Integrity, greed, love, and lust. Growing up on these streets gives many NEW YORKERS the "HARD " exterior, but most aren't able to express their thoughts and experiences in such a creative and captivating way as hip hop's next storyteller, P STAR.Hailing from the border of BROOKLYN and QUEENS, James Howe's childhood was spent between RIDGEWOOD and BUSHWICK, with both areas influencing his "loner" mentality. Attending GROVER CLEVELAND HIGH SCHOOL in RIDGEWOOD,QUEENS, a school known for it's drop out rate, James was placed in special education classes due to his QUIET yet rebellious nature. During this era, James would join in the lunchroom ciphers with members of the infamous BUSHWICK hip hop crew " THE ARSONISTS ". It was here that James refined his lyrical skills and formed his alias, MC RIA. James' school and neighborhood would push him down, and he would quietly and humbly suppress his thoughts. But when he confronts these issues on the microphone,RIA's verbal confessions are MASTERFUL.Rhyming for ten years,RIA ..... known as P STAR ..... has developed a reputation throughout SOUTHERN QUEENS from his mixtape appearances and stage performances. Fourteen years of practice and musical maturity have added an unparallel dimension of versatility to his talented rhyme style. P STAR'S albums always cover the widest of spectrums: a street/reality song one minute, and a packed dance floor the next. His media coverage for an unsigned artist is enviable, ranging from prime concerts to radio and literary exposure. He's recieved airplay from NEW YORK'S POWER 105.1 FM to VIRGINIA, recieving many spins on CHARLOTTESVILLE'S WNRN 91.9 FM," THE BOOMBOX ". He also appeared on " HIPHOPGAME.COM RADIO VOLUME 2", a mixtape hosted by DJ 730, and most recently noted in THE SOURCE'S JUNE 2004 "TALE OF THE TAPE". Live shows are one of PIP's major strengths, as he's ROCKED many NYC clubs such as WEBSTER HALL, SPEED, CHEETAH, EXIT, and LIMELIGHT. He is also featured in a documentary " PIP THE MOVIE " that was shot by US WEEKLY journalist JUSTIN SULLIVAN. With such outlets, the talented P STAR will soon BOOM !!!!
