Like many Irish-Americans I felt drawn to find out more about my heritage. I sent a letter to the town my great- great grandfather, Anthony Donigan, came from addressed only to “the Donigan familyâ€. The luck of the Irish smiled on me as my letter made it into the hands of distant cousins. My first adventure to Ireland was in the summer of 2000. I backpacked across the Emerald Isle researching and exploring the art of the ancient Celts, and making connections with the family Anthony left behind. Many of my paintings either come directly from my trips to Ireland, or are inspired by my love for the land of my ancestors.Daemon Andrew Donigan
