Filmmaker Bio: I was born and raised in the sunny city
of Miami, Florida. I fell in love with movies after I
sent drawings I made of some of Disney characters to
Disney and asked if I could work for them as an
artist. They replied back with a letter saying how
much they liked the drawings and how much they
appreciated me wanting to work for them but
unfortunately they didn't have any positions available
for 9 year olds. I guess to show their appreciation
they sent me four tickets to see Teenage Mutant Ninja
Turtles. This was the first film I had ever seen in a
theater and that's when I fell in love with films. All
I could ask myself is "How did they do that", but
growing up like most young African Americans in a
struggling family, that question didn't seem like it
would ever be answered.I continued to draw and then eventually got into
sports. My senior year in high school I was faced with
the decision of what do I really want to do with my
life. The only two realistic choices that I had were
drafting and sports because filmmaking was still just
a dream. I went with drafting and got myself a
drafting degree in Computer Aided Drafting. After turning 23 years old and drafting for about 4
years I had come to realize that I really wasn't happy
with my career in the way that I feel I should be. I
tried doing some music on the side but still didn't
feel like I was doing what I was meant to do. I
finally gave up on holding back from doing what was
sitting in the back of my mind. I dropped everything,
moved to Orlando and enrolled in the film program at
Full Sail. Ever since then my life took a turn for the
best. I've never been happier in my life. I had
finally found what I was meant to do.During my time at Full Sail, I managed to be a
director on all three of my school projects. My first
short film won three out of five awards; "Best
Editing, Best Audio, and Best Picture;" at the school
film festival. I then went on to write a script that
was chosen for another group of students film project.
As for the group I was in, a short film my partner
(Jarred Coates) and I were editors on was chosen to
represent our group. Our third film project also ended
up being a nice piece. Aside from my school projects,
I also produced/directed two music videos, a short
film, and was the assistant director on two other
short films. By the time I graduated from Full Sail I
had eight projects under my belt; when the average at
Full Sail was three.Since graduating from Full Sail in March of 2005, I
have been working on production after production. My
work experience consists of doing everything from
production assistant and grip, to camera operator and
editor. I have also begun to produce and direct some
of my own projects that include; commercials, music
videos, corporate videos and short films. I have been
and will continue to work hard to do what it takes to
become not just a filmmaker but a great filmmaker.RED HANDED (1st SHORT FILM).. width="425" height="350" ..LUGA - TRAILER.. width="425" height="350" ..`LUGA - SHORT FILM
