I don't know what or who to believe anymore so, I listen to God inside of me!!!Some things about me that you might not have known: 0.5 I hate private pages! I wish Tom would start charging people that want their pages private. I mean, what could be going on with so many people that they have to hide stuff on a platform such as this. I just don't understand. 1. I'm down for abolishing the "N" word. I acknowledge my peeps with the word "Brother" now. It feels better!!! I may slip every now and then but, with time I WILL eliminate it from my vocab. With a look into the future, I would probably want to kill any seed that I'm blessed with if I heard it come out of their mouths, so, I must develop the same feeling for myself. What's good, Brothers? Will you join me or...? 2. I'm a vegetarian and proud of it! 3. I cry sometimes-yes, I'm a man and I admit I cry. I'll cry even more if somebody would help me find the person that murdered my father. 4. I believe in love and I wish everybody could experience it. 5. I don't condone suicide but I understand it. We can agree to disagree. Some people need to know that somebody cares. Have you told somebody that you care about how much you care, it just might save them? 6. I feel that if you can't write a radio rhyme without bleeping out words, you don't deserve to be on the radio. Put the more creative artists on. 7. I don't believe in the saying, "Once a cheater always a cheater." I have cheated in the past but, I bet you I won't anymore. 8. A woman could never win my heart by going through my stomach. I can follow directions and cook my own food. 9. I'd rather have an "average" (whatever that means) woman with a beautiful spirit than a society defined "beautiful" video trophy woman with nothing to bring to the table but her beauty. My queen is a natural beauty with a beautiful spirit. I couldn't have ask for more than what God sent to me. 10. I really don't care to live in this country for the rest of my life. I've been to another country and could see myself living elsewhere (especially when they nuke this one). 11. I loved growing up with the homeboyz but now that I'm grown, I realize that I don't love all the homeboyz like some other kats do. If we don't have the same interest and if you are not looking out for my best interest, I don't need you around me. Now that's real talk!!! Be a fool if you want to. 12. I really wish everyone well- friend or enemy (except one person, well, maybe two) 13. I have nothing against the number 13. My mom was born on the 13th. Plus, I believe in God anyway. 14. I don't borrow money from friends (only my mom and sister). I once got punched in the face because a homeboy owed me money and I asked him to pay me back. Can you believe that? So, don't ask me to borrow nothing! 15. I think I'm a little weird (I like to be different). 16. I try to proof-read everything that I write but, I still make mistakes. 17. I think most women are confused about what they want. They pass up on so many invisible men that would really treat them like queens but, since they don't fit whatever image that has been programmed in their heads, they pass us up. (Well, "them" because my queen saw me and my potential) 18. If a woman can get a perm for cosmetic reasons or to be able to manage her hair easier, why can't a man do the same? Why have we let ourselves become brainwashed to think it's not right? If a man can't look the way he wants and will get judged because of a perm, women shouldn't be allowed to wear perms, weaves and/or make-up! 19. I think more and more black women put black men down because they find success quicker and start to act more like the oppressor. Be observant! For example, look at how some black women look at men in the grocery store in the evening. I'm always thinking, "I'm dressed like this because I just got off work and don't feel like going home to change clothes just to come to the store. Plus, I'm trying to save gas. Have you seen the price of gas these days? Plus, if no one does the dirty-work, you wouldn't be able to work in that office anyway. Oh well, your loss. You should be happy to see a black man with a steady job anyway. It shouldn't matter if I get dirty on the job or not". 20. I'm a nerd. I love books. Knowledge is power but, only if you apply it or pass it on. 21. Back to the confused woman thing. I think that most women are either scared of men with knowledge of self or they are intimidated. Some women are so brainwashed that they study for their career but, don't study for a life with a true BROWNMAN. 22. I love Apple computers and can't hardly stand PCs. Too much maintenance plus there are no viruses written for the Mac operating system. 23. I'm a member of Phi Beta Sigma and our colors are blue and white but, my favorite color is Red. It's been that way since birth and I can't change that. Besides, I pledged because of what the fraternity stands for and not because of the letters or colors. 24. Just about all of the people on my friends list are friends. That means I know them in some sort of fashion. If I don't know you, you probably won't make it on the list (except for the positive people that I ask to be my friend). I don't need half-naked/naked women on my page to make it tight. Oh, and it doesn't matter if I don't know one of my frat brothers personally, they are still my brothers so they get accepted regardless. 25. I'm not scared of any man or woman. Everybody bleeds blood just like I do. I'm not scared of death because I love God. I just don't want to die at an early age because of the grief that it would cause for those that love me. Yes, many, many people love and care about me. I love all of ya'll too and don't want to see any of you go anytime soon. 26. I hope to see most of you in the next life. 27. It hurts me to see "Greeks" not get along because of the different organizations. That to me is living up to the Willie Lynch ideology. We were all black before we pledged and will remain that way until death. Why can't we have one big National Convention where all NPHC members come together and decide how we are going to change the world? We have the power!!! Isn't that what these organizations were designed for anyway? Or, is what Jehvon Buckner talks about on www.daghettotymz.com true? I almost denounced my frat because of the way other fraternity and sorority members act towards one another. It's a damn shame that another black man won't speak to me because I have on a Sigma shirt and he has on a Que, Kappa, Alpha, or Iota shirt. If no one wore letters, I'd bet we would all speak to each other. 28. Although I don't believe in 'proper' english, I feel that it is very important to learn words, think before you speak, and be articulate. If you don't have it, develop it. If I can't understand the words that are coming out of your mouth or can't understand something you wrote, I don't want to talk to you or read what you have written. 29. I don't own a video game. 30. I'm in agreement with Nas, Hip-Hop is DEAD! But, I think the game is about to change-for the better. 31. I have a newfound respect for Rev. Al Sharpton. Not too long ago, I didn't like him and now I realize that my perception was made out of pure ignorance. Besides, who else is standing up for others right now. You? I don't think so. If you don't want to do it, quit persecuting him like others did Dr. Martin Luther King. 32. I'd rather listen to Grown Folks Talk Radio (Steve Harvey, Warren Ballentine [G.O.M.A.B.], Al Sharpton, Michael Baisden) during the day for soul food rather than listen to redundant, predictable music radio stations. Out of all the millions of songs previously recorded, why do they have to play the same thing over and over and over and over and over again? PURE BRAINWASH!!! It's like I can hear the conversation, "You better play this brainwash music! Yes, master, sir." 33. I've hear of the Caucasus Mountains and what happened there, have you? Better study! 34. I rarely sag my jeans. I just don't like having to pull them up all the time. Now, I will sag my pajamas when I'm at home and I think I'm sexy but, that's T.M.I., huh? 35. I love Atlanta except for the traffic. Even the most patient person loses their patience down here. I call it Bottleneck, GA. 36. I really do not like when people drive and talk on the phone (bluetooth is okay). It is getting as dangerous if not more dangerous than drinking and driving. I try to keep it at a bare minimum. 37. I would like to write more because I have received some positive feedback but, I think this will be it because some people have complained that it's too long. Sorry...-------Why is it that hardly no one is talking about the Weapons of Mass Destruction anymore? Over 4000 Americans and countless Iraqis have died!!! For what???-------------You should speak every sentence as if you were being recorded and with the possibility that the audio will be played on a national or world scale in the future. You never know, it just might happen.----------------------------If you are not part of the solution, then you are probably part of the problem.-------------------------You can hear some of my music and short mixes on my music page--myspace.com/djsmoothkool (or just click the link on my top friends list).
