I am here for Dating, Friends and Networking

About Me

I was a Coastie Kid, living all over creation until we settled in Sitka Alaska, aka "The Rock". After my time there, I moved to Seattle for school at the University of Washington, gradumacated and jumped around to various biotech-ish jobs. I'm somewhat of a work-a-holic, I love what I do for a living: flying all over the world on someone elses nickel to install, maintain, and train people on the use of equipment that I helped build. I don't like a lot of down time because I always feel like I should be doing something more important than what I'm doing at any given moment.

My Interests

Snowboarding and instructing, cooking, boating, shooting, hunting, fishing, karaoke, latin dance, traveling, reading, tinkering with cars, driving, making people laugh.

I'd like to meet:

Fun loving people without a lot of bothersome baggage or drama. Also, Salma Hayek.

Music:

I'll put up with anything really, music is just the background score to my life, so I'll change it if I don't think it is appropriate. Not too keen on country music, but I appreciate the fact that it's baby makin music to some people.

Movies:

Snatch, anything Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Bruce Lee, or Stephen Chow, V for Vendetta, some Luc Besson flicks, Mel Brooks to name a few... I watch a LOT of movies, mostly in the theaters. My DVD collection is still really pathetic.

Television:

The Office, Battlestar Galactica, Smallville, any of the Joss Whedon stuff, FOOD NETWORK (especially "Cooking with Cleavage" with Giada De Laurentiis), Top Gear, Fifth Gear, F1 coverage, WRC coverage, Sports Center.

Books:

Too many to list, I'm currently stuck on WW2 history, biotech non-fiction, travel books, anything really. I don't have a favorite author, but I want to punch Dan Brown in the cooter.

Heroes:

Mom, Dad, and my brother for putting up with my shit for so long.

Verona Italy!

Verona Italy impressions. I finally got to go to Italy! These are my thoughts on the place so far. Veronese seem to have a deep seated dislike for horses, bisteca di caval or ragu alla cavallo is ...

Taras wedding, my misadventures

So we all know that I'm probably not a candidate for sainthood right?  Those of you that have been around me lately know that I've slowed down a bit, I've definitely lost my partying step.&n...

Thoughts on Venice

I don't know if a ferry boat from Venice to Murano was the proper place to ponder the meaning of life; why are we here, what purpose do we serve, why the fuck are you so stinky Mr. ...

Verona Italy June 07

Worst trip to Italy ever.   My first clue should have been the fact that my e-ticket didn't show in the Continental Airlines system and it took quite a bit of back and forth calling to Carson W...

Amazing Seoul trip!

So I'll cut to the chase about Seoul since I've introduced it earlier. This time it was much colder, spring is surprisingly like Seattle in that respect. Food was fabulous as ever and the women are...

Kobe BEEEEEEF!

So here I am in Kobe, approaching the end of my trip.  I decided to do everything that popped into my mind today, well, I passed on the "special" massage since all they would give was a 10% off c...

Just some advice to the fellas.

I don't care who you are or where you live, a "man purse" is not cool.  Ever.

Seoul South Korea day 2

Did some great Korean BBQ with lots of Soju.  Think of soju as vodka, only without the sting.  Afterwards we went to a place to drink down a bottle of 18 year old Glennmorangie.  I got ...

Seoul South Korea day 1

I'm pretty wrung out from traveling.  We had a bit of an emergency repair to perform so the company shipped me out a couple days early so I could swing by Melbourne.  It was bizarre not stay...

Melbourne Australia: aftermath

Highly annoyed now. Qantas ruined a perfectly good trip for me by sending my luggage on a later flight. I wasn't about to stick around the airport for 3 more hours waiting for the pieces so I had th...
