The Pope (because he's the Pope, how cool is that?).....Terry Allen (because he wrote, quite possibly, the best stanza EVER in the history of Texas music-fyi, if y'all don't know what I'm refering to, listen to any version of "Amarillo Highway." Pay attention. You'll hear it)......Willie Nelson (not ONLY because of his success despite the numerous attempts by the "Nashville machine" to bury his Texas-style, but because of his unwavering financial and vociferous support of the American farmer and the preservation of the American farm and farmland).....Guy Clark, his Texas music is absolute perfection. He wrote L.A. Freeway in the early 70's and I could listen to it forever ( I also wouldn;t mind having one of his handmade guitars!)...I'd really like to meet Damon and Carlton the two guys of the executive producers for "Lost." They do they podcast and are so STINKING funny it is unreal! I found out the hard way not to drink coffee and listen to them at the same time. Honestly, even if I didn't watch the show, I'd listen to the podcast...it's that hysterical. Absolutely laugh-out-loud funny, which doesn't look really good when you're plugged into your iPod at 3AM and no one is around you except patient charts and all of a sudden you bust out with a big ol' gut laugh. Folks look at you like you're having some sort of a seizure. Or a breakdown.
