About Me
Life is meant to be lived and loved. Mine has been a journey to say the least. Forever trying to find myself, I have done just that in my photography. I have also realized that it is the journey that counts, not the destination. I was blessed with an angel at 19. My daughter, Laiya, lights my path, no matter how far apart we are. She is my reason to be. I love her with all my heart and she inspires me more and more everyday. I keep my friends close to my heart and I have been able to meet so many great people wherever I have been. To all of you, East and West, thank you for your lives, your love, and sharing your journey with me. I currently live in Toronto and I am a Freelance Photographer. I have been shooting for almost two years now. I have been lucky to have been able to surround myself with great photographers who have taught me so much. Everyday I learn a little more and I couldn't see myself doing anything else. I love to shoot people as they are. I am intrigued by simple things, real life, and culture. Idealy I want to travel and shoot, experience cultures and people and bring their stories to life through the lens. Also, I work closely with my friends at Nocturnal Magazine. Working with Nocturnal has allowed me to combine my passion for house music with my photography. I have been able to cover events in Toronto, Miami and New York. I have shot almost every international dj and have been published in DJ Magazine. I am expanding myself in the house music industry by shooting bio pics and album art for local and international djs.Now let's not forget about music.... Music is the truely the soundtrack to life. There is always a song for a moment, a feeling, or for no reason at all. I love all music (not country, ha), but my passion is house music. Though I love house, my musical library is all over the board. Old school rock, Rock, 80's, acoustic, Down Tempo, Acid Jazz, Hip Hop. I can't stress how much I appreciate music, maybe because I was never gifted musically. I can loose hours on my computer working on pictures listening to music. There is nothing better than a song thhat evokes a memory or creates one.
