CHRIS BROWN is a puppeteer, puppet builder, effects/costume designer, and sculptor who some people think is either a genius or insane madman and has frightened local theatre companies including Dads Garage, Sensurround Stagings, The Georgia Shakespeare Festival and the Center for Puppetry Arts, where he worked as the resident puppetmaker. Chris has also worked as the lead builder for Keith Bailey Productions building professional and collegiate mascots as well as puppets for television and stage and is a 2004 recipient of a fellowship from the King Baudouin Foundation US Cultural Exchange Program.As the resident puppet builder for The Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta, Chris was responsible for the design and production of puppets for main stage shows, most notably, Space, Frankenstein, Fire, The Body Detective and KwaidanAs a freelance artist, Chris work has been seen in Dads Garages productions of, Cannibal! The Musical, Bat Boy the Musical, Action Movie The Play (parts 1&2), and 8.5x11; Sensurround Stagings production of Frankenstein in Love & History of the Devil, and XPT and Wrestling Macbeth at the Center for Puppetry Arts.Most recently, Chris' work has been seen in the Dad's Garage production of For Whom the Bell Jingles, and Sensurround Stagings' theatrical premiere of Katherine Dunn's novel, Geek Love.
