Second eldest in a family of five, lived all over the south (Florida, Lousianna, Georgia, Mississippi). Became a permanent resident of Atlanta, Georgia in 1992 shortly after parents separation. Hard times followed shortly after transitioning to Atlanta, but always made a way back to New Orleans to visit family. Poverty turned Cess to a life of crime to survive, spent most of his teenage years incarcerated in juvenile facilities. While incarcerated, Cess was introduced to Archie Eversole, who upon release from juvenile detention, pointed Cess in the direction of music. Shortly after Cess' release, he signed with Mason Hall of Phat Boy Records and began to take his music career seriously. Due to circumstances beyond Cess' control, he was released in 2004 from Phat Boy Records and to date has worked with "Big Gee" of "Boyz n da the Hood", "Archie", "Baby D", and was featured on TI/PSC "in da Streets vol. 3 ".
