Edentree emerged in 2004, when guitarist/lead vocalist Mike Richmond and drummer/vocalist Chris James were joined by bassist/vocalist Rick Brandt , all three having recently moved to Los Angeles in pursuit of their musical ambitions. From the very beginning, the chemistry was undeniable. The newly formed power trio set out to work immediately, creating a
formidable body of powerful, deep, and hook-laden material, drawing from their rich and diverse musical backgrounds, and fueled by their profound love of rock and roll and its proud tradition. The band made a commitment to both quality songwriting, and a tight and exciting live performance.
In 2006, Edentree released a self-titled EP . Mixed and mastered by Michael "Wizard" Wallace (No Doubt, Weezer), the radio-friendly CD quickly generated a significant buzz in musical circles. In February of 2007, the CD was reviewed in All Access Magazine , which praised the band’s sound, stating, "The hooks are irresistible and every song has an identity".
Though consistent in the style of hard-driving rock and roll, Edentree ’s appeal is one that often crosses the usual boundaries associated with music listeners. The band strives to transcend those divisions, and create a unifying point to which all are drawn and included. Edentree continues to write and perform live, and seeks to expand its audience worldwide.
