Mr. Strategy: The Triple E Movement

About Me

Everlasting Echoes Entertainment is the brainchild of S.J Carter aka Mr. Strategy, Barbados' leading hip hop producer. Being from a very musical family, his musical education jumped off from an early age. From as early as 8 years old young Mr. Carter was writing raps, chants(dancehall) and kaiso lyrics. Destiny began to fulfil itself in 1994, when his love for hip hop could no longer be contained in the simple role of avid listener. Thus, Strategy the MC emerged and formed a bond with some like minded brethren in 1997. This alliance became known as Chaotic Tendencies, one Barbados' deepest lyrical hip hop groups. In those early years, Barbadian hip hoppers struggled for acceptance in a land where naysayers abounded and everyone was quick to say "rap aint we culture!". Nonetheless, Strategy pressed on. Years went by and the group dissolved down to a much smaller crew, now known as Element Sound. Mr. Carter developed his skills as a producer, beat maker, audio engineer and business man. The result: Everlasting Echoes Entertainment. The record label/production company has spawned Triple E Studios and The Triple E Movement, comprising leading Bajan artists such as Element Sound, Levi, Dunnz, Nitro, Chaotic Tendencies, Karma, Sharon Darlington, Linskee and Rubytech. Triple E is is about to take the Caribbean by storm. The camp has received nominations at the Barbados Music Awards two years in a row, but a win seems to be eluding them. Most recently, the team at Triple E produced a music video, in conjunction with local video production company Zotikos Studios, for their BMA nominated track "Get Ya Money Up" (viewable right here on Myspace!).The video held the number one spot on Barbados' local video show "Roamin" for 11 weeks straight and is now viewable on MTV's Tempo.
