like a tree
growing from it's roots to the tips of it leaves
my horizons continue to expand
so what if he wasn't the one

I see her everday in the mirror
beautiful as ever with her head held high
nah, I'm not your girl
I'm not anybody's 'woman'
love is wonderful and divine
and yes, "pretty girl" still makes me melt
but I don't feel like looking or waiting
hide and seek ain't my thing
so I'm gonna keep growing
keep on rising above your expectations
breaking barriers
shattering the standard
you can sit back and watch if you want
or you can come join the party
