Blood of Kvasir

Kvasir is the Norse/Icelandic Deity of poetry and wisdom who came into being as a treaty to end the war between the earth gods, the Vanir, and the celestial deities, the Aesir. Kvasir was killed by two dwarves, his blood made into a magical mead that would inspire anyone who drank it. Later, stolen by Odin, it is only awarded to great poets- the old alchemical theory one must have gold to make gold.
