About Me

Create your own Friend Quiz here

I love me. Call it selfish, conceited, doesnt matter what you think of me. What matters is what I think of me. And nothing on Earth is going to sway my own opinion of me. I believe in possibilities. I love life. I love truth. I have a noodle brain. Wit is a must and just happens naturally. I will make you laugh. I speak honestly and tease all ways, always. I have it, and if I dont, then I know I will. If you dont think I do, then fuck you. I continually crave to be better, faster, stronger. For me. Fuck the Jones'. I dont need to be in a competition to tell me I am better than anyone. I am better, and in the same respect, I am not better; no competition will change that.
I'm not blind to negativity, but I just work through it and move on. Life is full of dichotomies. Not all of them are easy. I like to keep positive and try not to wallow in self-pity. I like myself happy. There is not a damn thing wrong with it. Misery can have someone elses' company. I try not to judge people straight away, and I try to never judge my friends.
I'm a nerd and have the grades to prove it. I'm currently completing a degree in physics with an emphasis on health physics. Which means, to those in the real world, I may glow in the dark in the future. Yup, just me, perpetuating the irrational fear of radiation. Joy! I hope I can help to make a difference in the radiation world and the United States view on it. It is NOT just a weapon. I love learning and if I could, I would create a career being a student. Even when my degree is finished, I will always be learning.
I have a fantabulous sense of humor. I love irony. The ultimate irony to me is stressing about when to relax. I think there are many ridiculous emotions one can feel. Most recent on my mind is worry. It is amazing how much is wasted on such a pointless emotion. Worrying about a grade on an exam will do nothing to enable a different outcome. I deal in logic.
I try to stay away from drama. So dont muck up my bubble. I do not think that crying is a sign of weakness. It is just a show of strong emotions.... being able to show emotions is a strong attribute as far as I am concerned. I am definitely an optomist. I think too many negative emotions drag one into a bleak place where there is no light at all anymore. There should always be light. There is always something that can be good in the dark and that good thing creates that source of light. I try to cherish every moment. Dark and light. After all, even when something is dark, it doesnt mean it is ugly or evil.
I make collages from magazines that I keep just to cut to pieces. The collages I make are important to me in such that they are windows into how I feel and think about me or the person for which it is made. I have recently learned to crochet and knit. Laugh all you want, but it is a zen experience. It is calming, and in this busy world, anything that slows time down is welcome. I take walks, and try to enjoy the weather, even when it is so-called bad. I spend a lot of time at home. It doesnt mean I'm boring. I am anything but. My house is a home. It is comfortable and is my haven from the stupidity in the world that never ceases to amaze me. Although, I have been persuaded recently to see the comedy in it all.
I am beautiful inside and out. I am superlative. I am just as beautiful as any model in a magazine. Because I believe so. I am just as smart as I want to be. Because I believe I can be. It has to do with having a thicker skin and being able to rise above. Being able to believe in yourself when no one else does, is beautiful. Having those that believe in you in your life is also beautiful. I know I have friends and family that believe in me. I wouldnt have it any other way.
By the by, life needs more cowbell!

"So, you're a cannibal." What Will Your Famous Last Words Be?

I'd like to meet:

People who are dead. People who are now considered literary masterminds - Shakespeare, Emily Dickinson, The Brother's Grim, Shel Silverstein, etc; famous artists in every meaning of the word art - Edward Munch in particular; political figures in history - Thomas Jefferson, Rosa Parks, Albert Einstein, hell even Hitler [that would definitely interesting]. I'd want to know how wrong the information is or isnt about their lives and loves. Jesus, the master of matter, cant leave out Jesus! I love meeting people who have substance! More modernly and less vague: Roman Dirge, Tim Burton, Neil Gaimen, Kevin Griffin, Trent Reznor, Colleen Atwood, Jennifer Tilly, Zach Braff.
