I'm thankful for the life I have, currently I'm out of the US ARMY. The ARMY has been the most wonderful experience I've ever had.I have been in all places in the Army, Logistics,Recruiting, Special Forces,Contracting, and many more. I'm a proud OIF Vet and proud Dominican American.
What I can say about me is that I have learned so much in my life and this learning doesn't stop. Thanks to God it continues every day. The fact that Jesus is my best friend saves me from a lot of issues, trust me on that!But believing in Jesus is not an easy task. Christians get tempted 24 / 7, 365 days a year.
As a Christian I treat people according to the teachings of Jesus. At least I tried my best to follow them. LOL As any other human I have faults and they are many. But I do my best to treat the other like I want to be treated.
The fact that I get up in the morning and the 1st thing I do after I do my morning shower, is to read the bible and I ask God to forgive me 1st and then to give me FAITH, WISDOM and Good HEALTH to me and those around me. I read a prayer to the Virgin Mary and to my favorite Angel Saint Michael.
This has been the key to my good and blessed life. Jesus has helped me survived the 10 years that I spent in the US Army and he saved me from a sure death in combat. As you all know we went to war on 19 March 2003 and I was one of the many that crossed the Kuwaiti border and went on a 30 day journey to Iraq.
I was blessed because I was not alone; I had God plus really good friends and family members with me such as my brother. We went together to war and I was happy that he was there, WHY? Because I knew he was close to me, just as he was happy that I was there too. So God has been my number one friend.
He also blesses me with good people in my life, thanks to him I have met some beautiful people, if you are one of them that is reading this, then you know what I mean. Because all those who have been close to me, I have noticed how much all of you mean to me. Even if you hurt me some how or I hurt you.
My wish is that I could reach a position in life where I'm able to help those around me, not only in the US, but also in the Dominican Republic where I was born. Since I was little I always knew that I was going to be someone special in life. I'm not sure how or when but I know that I have been special to many people that because of the grace of God, I have helped or I have touched some how.
To end this little story about me, all I want say is that it is better to live as a person that believes in God than a person without him. It does not matter what religion you are in, it doesn't matter how bad you are or how many bad things you have done, God will always forgive you and he will bestow his blessings upon you.
If you were to open your eyes and see all the things that you have, even if they are little,you should realize the many things we take for granted. We should be thankful because there are people in this world with less things than us, who pray to God every day so they can get those things that you never appreciate.
