THE TSUNAMI DIARIES is the inspiring true story of two best friends who strike out on a quest to document the destruction of the tsunami in Indonesia. When Pro-surfer TIMMY TURNER (Second Thoughts) and DUSTIN HUMPHREYs pursuit hits a roadblock, they hatch a plan to carry out a relief mission of their own. Acquiring a boat, The Mikumba, and setting sail to the damaged corners of the Indian Ocean.
Timmy brings food, medical supplies, and a few goats, to the neglected remote islands of Northern Sumatra. Recruiting people along the way, including Timmys Mom and MATT GEORGE (In Gods Hands), they form a motley crew of surfers, surf journalists, and doctors, to confront dangerous obstacles around every turn. The Tsunami Diaries is a story of tremendous courage, and the unity of all human beings.
