Time is Not Money- Time is Art!

About Me

Megan Dooley was Born and raised in Kalamazoo MI, and starting playing guitar and writing songs at the age of 15- after begging her parents to buy her an instument for over 5 years. After state choir and ensemble, 8 years of vocal training- and scores of plays and musicals, she started to prove that this music "thing" was not just a phase, and she began to book shows and performances around michigan. After playing gigs in New York, Milwaukee, Chicago- and all over the midwest- Dooley was invited to play for over 50,00 people on the last day of "Summerfest" aptly named the Big Gig in 2007. Summerfest, the Worlds largest music festival (spanning over a 3 week period), threw her into a much bigger pond, and showed her exactly how much tenacity you need to survive in this gut-wrenching industry. Being only 21 years old, Dooley has severely shown us that she's here to stay in the scene, if not to also push forward and grasp the unknown. Writing music from the bottom of her heart, with alot of attitude and style- Dooley constantly proves that there are female artists not dragging on the genre, not whining their little sob stories for everyone to hear- But singing strong and proud about their life experiences, and showing them that we can hang with the best and worst of them all.Thank you for visiting this site and supporting your local musicians. Without you, we would have nothing. Quote from GRNow.com- event listing for Grand Rapids local music-ROCK'N'COUSTICALLY-"DOOLEY NOTED harnesses the righteous anger of Ani DiFranco and combines it with the rock'n'attitude of Chrissy Hynde. Yow."The Jackson Citizen Patriot Wrote:"Jackson's own Lollapalooza, Brunofest, took over the Riverwalk Amphitheater on Saturday afternoon with the sounds of Sublime, The Beatles, Pink and even Oscar the Grouch. The Sesame Street character's hit, "I Love Trash," was performed by Kalamazoo-based artist Megan Dooley, who goes by the stage name, Dooley Noted.Hints of artists such as KT Tunstall and Fiona Apple are hidden in Dooley's rich and bluesy vocals, while her quick guitar playing is reminiscent of Jason Mraz. This was her first visit to Brunofest, which is in its fifth year."You get to sit on a grass knoll and listen to music," she said. "That's my kind of Saturday, if you ask me."type="text/css"formimggoogleTLogo { background-image:urlBackgrounds This video was done by Mr. Mark bugnaski- Thanks my friend!Stacy and I playing a cover of "Mad World" at The Fete in Bronson Park!Myspace Cursors @ JellyMuffin.com

You Are A Weeping Willow Tree
You are a dreamer, and you're into almost any kind of escapism.
Restless and capricious, you love to travel to exotic places.
You are easily influenced by others, as long as they don't pressure you.
You tend to suffer in love until you find that one loyal, steadfast partner.
An empathetic friend, you love to make others smile and laugh.
