About Me

MyGen Profile GeneratorBorn and raised in Portland Oregon. I shoot photos and go to school, and work on movies whenever I can. I generally don't care about pop culture or reality TV. Someday I hope to make a living as a cinematographer, and eventually a director of photography. I love the northwest, and also love Portland and everything it has to offer.

My Interests

Getting into the outdoors is my favorite. Unfortunately due to my hectic schedule of film shoots, sitting at the computer doing school work and editing work I don't get to get into the outdoors as much as I would like. Hopefully someday I can....

I'd like to meet:

Michele Gondry, Spike Jonze. A girl who doesn't wear sunglasses that are bigger than her face. Someone who appreciates me for what I do and who I am, not who I'm friends with or whose name is on my clothes. A girl who could deal with the fact that I'm a camera nerd and the weirdest guy ever all rolled into one.....

Music:

Myspace.com MP3 PlayerAnything that sounds good to my ears. From Ray Charles to Led Zepplin. Underground Hip Hop like Aesop rock, electronic like The Knife. Mellow like Slackstring, emo like Saves the day. Doesn't matter to me as long as it sounds good to my ears.

Movies:

Favorite movie of all time is The Shawshank Redemption. Some others are American Graffiti, Brick, Boondock Saints, The Usual Suspsects, Full Metal Jacket, Road Warrior, 2001: A Space Oddyssey, THX 1138, Picasso Trigger, Nosferatu, Amelie, Midnight Express, Dante's Inferno, Donnie Darko, North by Northwest, American Psycho, And alot more.... I also like all the old 50's sci-fi flicks such as The Day the Earth Stood Still, Earth Versus the Flying Saucers, and The monster that challenged the world. I'm a firm believer that the original James Bond films were pure cinematic genius, especially the intro to "The Spy Who Loved Me" (watch it and you'll understand.....) Also all the Robot Foods snowboard films. Cache, Amelie, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrells.....Snatch, Good Fellas, The Man Who Wasn't there, Miller's Crossing and also anything by Spike Jonze or Stephen Spielberg.

Television:

The fuel channel rocks, so does discovery, history, and HBO

Books:

"This Game of Ghost's" is a really good book....so is "Micheal Moore is a big fat stupid white man". Me Talk Pretty One Day, Jarhead, and That Others May live are also fine literature.

Heroes:

Everyone that has effected me in a positive way even though they might not know it.

My Blog

You know, some people just don't get it. "It" can be a lot of different things. Sometimes "It" means you, sometimes "It" means themselves. Often times people don't get you, they don't get themselves. ...

I was going to write a blog, but then I realized I didn't have anything important or profound to say.

hit the ground running.

Got back from the beach and hit the ground running. Principle photography for Black Santa's Revenge starts Friday. So much to do. I was the steadicam op and key grip on a shoot last weekend. Had a 20 ...

And now

And now I can't define between reality or TV, and the people stare right through a dying man they don't even want to stop and see, if he's ok. -Lightyear

New Years

New Years was great. A few mishaps, but thankfully nothing I was involved with. Spent the bulk of the evening with my family- which is fine with me. The party scene really isn't my deal. I slept in un...

I'm good at other things

Than being "normal". For instance I can build a fire in the woods, in the rain. And I can find my way with a map and compass. I can also swim underwater for a ways, and I have been known to shoot phot...

Here comes the boom.

I went snowshoeing this morning, it was pretty sweet. Got back from that at around 3 and then hung out with Erin and Meagan for a bit, then went and hung out with the crew. Saw Todd, back in town from...
