The Real California

About Me

The Real California (TRC) is a band from Ohio. What started out as some home recorded demonstrations by Ron is now a full four-piece band. We play live shows and do recordings. We like a lot of different music. Some of our biggest influences are Neil Young, Pearl Jam, John Frusciante, Soundgarden, Pedro The Lion, and Pink Floyd. Sometimes it comes out in our music. Sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes Ron writes all of the stuff. Sometimes the whole band does. It all depends. Either way, the songs are our songs because we are a band. Our songs are usually about something that happened to us or something that inspires us or something that we just think would make an interesting song. You may recognize some of us from The Peachbones. That's because TRC is a side-project that Ron and Donne started several years back. You also may recognize Jose, as he used to play bass in another band called Bel Auburn. Neither band sees much action these days.We will be playing shows soon and hopefully our album will be completed soon as well.
