At the age of 19, David began his career as a video game artist. He was hired by Lucas Arts Ent. and worked as a 3D artist and animator on titles such as Escape from Monkey Island, Jedi Power Battles, Star Fighter and Force Commander. A little over a year later, David was hired by George Lucas' Academy Award winning visual effects power house, Industrial Light & Magic. There he worked as a motion development artist and senior animator on Star Wars Episode 2: Attack of the Clones, Dreamcatcher, The Mummy Returns and Vanhelsing.In 2002, David was hired to work for Joel Silver and The Wachowski Bros on The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions at ESC Entertainment. David served as a robot and mech motion development artist, as well as one of the core animators for the "Digger Drill Robot" and "APU Gun Mech" characters. Soon after the Matrix sequels ended, David was hired by another Academy Award winning studio, Sony Pictures Imageworks, where he worked as a motion development artist, layout artist, post-visualization artist and senior animator on Monster House and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch and The Wardrobe.In the year 2006 David began a successful freelance career assisting directors such as Bryan Singer (Valkyrie), Tim Story (Rise of the Silver Surfer), Matt Reeves (Cloverfield), Andrew Adamson (Narnia 2), M.Night Shyamalan (The Happening) and DJ Caruso (Eagle Eye). Some of David's studio clients include EA Games (Command and Conquer), Pepsi (Pepsi Pinball), Sony Games (Socom Navy Seals), Factor 5 (Lair) and Shilo Design (Hancook Tires).Two years later, David formed Black Sun Entertainment (www.thesunsetsblack.com). His company develops dynamic new content for video games, tv, and animated films. In addition, Black Sun has an educational division called Digital Apprentice Workshop (www.digitalapprentice.net) which produces high caliber training materials, workshops, and provides professional guidance from some of the industry's top talent. David's current projects include the upcoming "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" feature film, where he served as a lead visual development artist, as well as, the 2009 release of the World War II epic "Valkyrie". At the age of 29, David's primary objective is to lend his dynamic vision to video game development, film direction, animation direction, IP development and creature/robot motion development.
