Young G was born in south-east Lebanon in a small village, but his family fled to Canada to get away from the Civil War. Growing up he was inspired by artists such as Tupac Shakur, Big L, AZ, Nas and other great lyricists. So the journey began, and he started writing lyrics of his own at the early age of 17. Sick of the pictures people painted about his culture, JIHAD wanted to use his poems as a way to show the west what his people were going through.
