Hmmm.. A little about me. I was never very good at writing essays but lets see what we can do. I am a 35 year old lesbian Mom. I am living just a few miles from the place I grew up. I believe I live in paradise. I don't believe there is another part of the country that is quite like the Bay Area. And I am proud to be from here. It has it draw backs of course, owning a home being a single Mom is pretty much a pipe dream but I am working on it.
I have a pretty amazing group of friends that have become so much more than that. They have become my family. We tend to make our own families in my community, and I am very grateful for it. I may not have been dealt the best hand to start with, but I made sure I turned it into a full house. And I mean a full house. I pretty much have an open door policy. Many people have called my couch home. But to me the more the merrier. You can come by my house pretty much any Christmas or any Thanksgiving and it will literally be busting at the seams with all kinds of people. At times I haven't even known all the people that show up for a little sense of belonging and a home cooked meal. But I try to have a relatively big heart. The more you love, the more you receive love in return.
Ok this is getting sappy... And I am sooo not sappy. In fact I tend to be quite the smart ass. So much so it gets me in trouble. I have been known to not exactly think before I open my big mouth. Oh yeah did I mention I have a big mouth. I think I can pretty much yell louder than most girls, and you always know I have entered a room. I don't tend to enter quietly. But laughter is the best medicine.
