About Me

Born in Basel, Switzerland in 1978 Roger Muzik was interested in electronic music at all times. At an early stage already the synthesizer music of Jean-Michel Jarre was his perfect dream. With the beginning of the 90s he got into the hype of the early Techno and Trance scene. But the trance beats seemed much to simple, less tuneful or harmonic to him and he therefore eked out his teenage listening to Techno and Happy Hardcore. It was in summer 99 - the Happy Hardcore trend in the Netherlands slowly ebbed away - when Roger changed his attitude to Trance. Just in the Netherlands he hit on Tiesto's "Live at Innercity" by chance the CD ought to change his life entirely. He was all for the very first title Push Universal Nation and within days he knew the disc inside out. The unforgettable "Kamaya Painters-Endless Wave" was the cornerstone of his new addiction to Trance.Back in his hometown he tried to figure out everything about Tiesto. He discovered some much better CDs like "MAGIK", which formed his style and finally inspired him to be a DJ himself. In the very same year he made his debut with TRANCE, a remix of Armin van Buuren's stuff. Mere chance? No, because till this day Armin van Buuren is one of Roger's most favourite producers and DJs. Initially everything started from scratch Roger recorded the mixes at his sound studio and distributed the tapes among his friends. Pretty much unknown in Switzerland the new Trance has been well accepted and by the end of 2001 Roger was ready to perform live.In summer 2002 his first 'commercial' performance took place during the "Trendhouse2" in Magden followed by gigs at the "Exit9e" and ultimately he was booked by "Guayas", a well-known major club in Bern, the Swiss capital. A dream! But he had a hard job to do as the German Hardtrance and Hardstyle was hip and the melodic Dutch Trance and the progressive UK Trance had first to establish in this country.Roger's next targets are to further establish himself, to successfully continue his residency at the club "Guayas" and to convince further well-known clubs with his sets. His great musical potential will certainly open the doors!
