Starting as a simple jamming opportunity between friends in late 2004, the more this trio played together, the more they began crafting catchy instrumental tunes that seemed a waste if not heard by audiences ready to dance. Soon enough they chose the name Captain Tipper, and took their set of songs out into the world, ready to bring the funk one gig at a time. Michael Cheatley's infectious guitar lines, Brendyn Thorne's solid slap bass, and Tynan Dunfield's intense drumming together creates one hell of a good time, period. From the feel good vibrations of "Good Strut" and crowd favorite "Snow Owl", to the experimental jam "The Thorne Experience", to the dance-tinged "Touch Me, Feel Me" Captain Tipper prove that sometimes vocals aren't even necessary. The grooves that they produce will get stuck in your head (in a good way of course), will get your toes tapping, and ultimately will lead you straight to the dance floor.
