Dropfill was formed many years ago by founder and singer, Christian Berglund.
His vision from the outset was to write music that never got boring.
Music that combined the best aspects of many different genre's and melt them all together.
Even though the band is a Metal band, it doesn't really matter if the songs has
the melodies and harmonic brilliance of classical music, the hooks and grooves
from modern pop music,
the heaviness from rock & roll or devilish growls from the extreme-metal scene.
If it's good, it's Dropfill.
Even though the band has a few years on it's neck, Dropfill really started to
come into fruition some six months ago.
After switching a few members Dennis Ingmarsson joined the band as the new
rythm guitarist and Johan Grind took the spot as Dropfill's bass-monster.
At this time Johnny Stödberg had already been pounding the drums in the band for well over a year.
A few weeks later Fredrik Ryberg joined up to play lead guitar and the lineup for
the "new" Dropfill was complete.The band is currently working on alot of new material and ideas are literally
flying across the room in the rehearsal space located in the small town of
Nynäshamn, Sweden. Dropfill's sound has gone through an evolution in the last
couple of months since the completion of the new lineup.
The arrangements are getting a bit less straight-forward and simple to give
room for a bit more thought and twist to it. It's hard to describe the sound that
is Dropfill.
The bandmembers have tried on numerous occasions to give a simple
description but has come up short every time.
Dropfill is just something you need to hear in order to understand.
