Heroes:
My hero is Jesus Christ, Son of God... I think about how God created heaven and earth. And how he created man is His own image. And how he gave man the freedom to choose and have free will. And how man chose to rebel against Gods laws and do what he pleased. And how this rebellion created a rift between man and God. (God in His righteousness cannot let bygones be bygones) But God wasnt suprised, because He already had a plan. Even before he created man He saw The Cross. For every sin commited, there must be blood. There must be Hell to pay. Someone must die!... GOD has too much self respect to 'just let sin go!' We have forgotten in America that God is perfect and holy, and requires nothing less in His abode. So how does man, which includes myself have any hope? my best is worthless before the LORD even my tears of reverance are filth. Any vain attempt at righteouness is full of hypocrisy and self glory which God hates! But like a child covered in mud GOD sees through the filth and longed for us. He sat on His Holy throne in glory and devised a plan to get us into Heaven to be with Him. We owed a debt we could not pay, He payed a debt He did not owe on the Cross! Jesus, Gods own son took the penalty for me, and mankind. He would bear the full brunt of Gods hatred and wrath. In the garden Jesus cried out to The Father 'if it be possible, let this cup pass from me. With you all things are possible father.''not my will but yours be done.'The Father remained eerily silent that night. You see there are some things God can't do. He cannot bend His own statutes. He cannot change a heart. And He could not come up with another way to save man. No other way to save Shane Patrick Long. On the third day after His crucifixion and death, the earth shook, and the stone rolled away from the tomb revealing the resurrected Son of God. Defeating death, hell and the grave. What looked like a victory for Satan at first, became the ultimate victory over the grave for us. You WANT to go to Heaven. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father exept through me"-John 14:6. Jesus is alive! In the flesh! And He is seated on the throne in Heaven awaiting people to call on His Holy name and to repent from their wicked way and follow Him. No matter how evil you think you are, or what evil you may have done in the past, Jesus Loves you. To think any different is an insult to the price He payed to have you as His own, and an insult to the power of the blood He bought you with. To be saved you must accept the gift and repent. God is a gentleman, He wont push His love on you. But since ALL things good come from God, to reject GOD is to reject all things good, leaving only torment in an everlasting hell. That might make some of you mad, but it doesnt make it any less true. Swallow your pride and pray! time is short! say "Lord Jesus, I want to go to Heaven. I dont want to go to Hell." Thank you for paying a payment I never could have. I want to belong to you now." I no longer want to belong to myself and Satan."I want to do what YOU want me to do. Because you have all knowledge.""I turn from my wicked way, i confess and repent from all my sin."Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen." - 'All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me i will never drive away.' ~ Jesus. John 6:37. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace that came by Christ Jesus. Romans:3:23. If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and belive in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans10:9.
