I was born in Germany to music loving parents during the Disco era. I was destined to have a love for music. I traveled the world with my parents, but my family settled in Los Angeles, CA and we lived there until I was 11 years old. My parents are originally from Chicago and we moved back to the fabulous city in the early 1980’s.My musical journey began with late night cassette tape “recording†sessions from WBMX, WGCI and WKKC; recording the likes of The Hot Mix Five and most other HOUSE DJ’s. I met a guy who introduced me to the club scene (What’s up Rob!). Let me take you back to the night I fell in love with HOUSE Muzik…It was May 7, 1986. The place was LaMirage on Michigan Avenue. I was 13 years old. It was my formal introduction to HOUSE Muzik. It was no longer a long distance relationship over the radio waves. Frankie Knuckles was spinning “You Can’t Stop the Houseâ€. I didn’t know how true this record would be for the rest of my life.I started frequenting the Chicago House club scene (yes, I know I was young, but it was calling me man!). Bismarck Hotel, Sauers, Ascott, Congress Hotel, Dancers (y’all don’t remember Lil Louis’ spot do you?), Medusa’s, DiVinci Manor, AKA Night Club, The Reactor (DJ Rush), Studio 19 (Gene Hunt), Hyde Park Racquetball Club, The Riviera (they had House Parties too), The Warehouse, Navy Pier, Palmer House Hotel and of course the world famous MUZIK BOX II (2210 S. Michigan Avenue) with Terrance Harrison and the Godfather of Chicago House Muzik, Mr. Ron Hardy (beat that shit Ron – Ay).I bought my first 2 records from Imports Records. I bought Rescue III and Acid Trax. This was the beginning of my history. My passion has evolved from trying to emulate Ron Hardy’s disco edits on a tape to deck to now creating my own music. Keep your ears and your eyes open, become a part of my history…In one of my conversations with Ron Hardy he told me “It’s not what you play, it’s how you beat it!â€
