About Me

Treasure Films is a social enterprise that provides training to young people and members of the community so that they gain confidence and knowledge in film production. Our aim is to encourage communication through media art by creating projects that promote and celebrate diversity, while establishing an environment where people from other cultures can learn, grow and appreciate each other.During training we facilitate improvisations, workshop exercises, and discussion so that students think laterally, experiment and take risks within a creative context. Filmmakers, musicians and artists who have experience working with young people are employed to encourage students to listen and cultivate raw ideas into a finished product. At the end of each project, students, teachers, and youth leaders will have learnt the fundamental roles working within a film production plus the invaluable skills gained from working as a collective.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

We like to meet people who believe in truth, love and peace, people who are not afraid to cry or laugh out loud, people who are not afraid to make mistakes and people who do not exclude others because of their mistakes.

Welcome to England is a documentary film funded by Awards For All and made by 10 and 11-year-old children from Middle Row Primary School. The film centres on an intergenerational project with older African and Caribbean people from the Pepper Pot Day Centre under the Westway, W10. The film focuses on the older people’s experiences of moving to England, and helping to shape their communities.

If you would like a copy of the entire 11-min documentary on DVD please contact [email protected]
