I am here for Friends

About Me

this layout is from whateverlife.com!Allright. My name is Mathieu and I sometimes wonder if and when I should grow up. I'm much too old for fucking myspace. Thank god these moments are rare, and last for a relatively short time. I am a student. My major is Dutch Literature. I found out that saying that is a strong conversation stopper. I am on a holy mission to introduce dutch literature in the US, so far without much succes. I was raised to refuse military service by my mum who is in many ways an old hippy. As a result I have great problems with authoritive people, but I do know all Simon and Garfunkel songs by heart. And I really believe that war is over, if we want it. My best friends are Danielle and Fleur. I had a hard time deciding who to put on the first place in my top 8. Danielle, who is also my cousin, kept screaming: BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER! at me. She won. That is, she won until my friend babelfished his way into my heart and into the top position. Danielle and I have known eachother since she was born,we have been together ever since and our voices will ring forever, as one, but nothing beats babelfish. I apologize to her and Fleur, I love you both very much. But your dutch already is quite fluent. I get turned on by books, the older the better. I want to own my own canalhouse when I grow up. I first need to write an international bestseller. I havent started yet. I have weird hair, bad hair is a family thing. I am lazy. That's also in my DNA. I like parcs, tuna and most people from Belgium. They are much more polite than the dutch and they have funny sayings. I read Tarot cards like an old gipsy lady, thanks to the spiritual companionship and guidance of Fleur, the girl who comes second. I want to have a puppy. A piece of advise that I would like to give, is to always be very very suspicious of people who have problems with small furry creatures. Strange things happen to me likely. I fall and drop a lot. I said no to drugs, but yes to booze, fast food, fast driving and lots of make-up. My word of the year is "tantalizing". I own a webcam. Masturbation shouldnt be a taboo. It's perfectly natural. My song of the week is "Comptine d'un autre été" by Yann Tiersen. I have decided not to join the Hare Krishna's no matter how tempting it may seem. When all else fails, I will take the baby and flee to Colorado Springs.

I know I'm either a bit late or very early with this one, but poetry is not about being seasonal. It's by Neeltje Maria Min, the tortured-sensitive-hippy poet we have seen before. The villagers were c...
