About Me

Ten Forward were founded by Alien Nation member, Mark Reeder (http://myspace.com/markreeder) and Patrick Ense together with producer Chris Zippel (aka "Genuine" - http://www.myspace.com/chriszippel) in 1997. Their first collaboration was for a remix of "Niji" by top Japanese band 'Denki Groove'. This project again, combined the production speciality, which Reeder had previously experimented on with his project Alien Nation, of successfully fusing two totally different styles of club music together, this time sci-fi electro with an uptempo 303 acidic groove.
Their own debut single on MFS (Masterminded For Success) was called "Patterns of Force", another electro-acid fusion, taking the idea even further. Reeder also designed the artwork to resemble the popular sci-fi 'X-Files' TV series, to accomany the science fiction theme of the track.
However, Reeder's commitment to his record label MFS, forced him to take a break from hands-on music production for a while and so after the release of this first single, Zippel and Ense formed the short-lived duo 'Dillinger & Capone' and released two further singles on MFS ("Trysting Fields" and "Infinity Counter" which also featured Reeder's involvement, on one track "Stendahl Syndrome").
Zippel departed from Ense and went on to produce some tracks for the Disco 3 album with the Pet Shop Boys. Ense is currently tour assistant for techno legend, Richie Hawtin. After the split of Ense and Zippel, Reeder's next musical encounters were together with leading hungarian DJ/Producer Corvin Dalek for their 'wet&hard' label Flesh (http://www.myspace.com/fleshrecords
