Who needs more summer vacation? I do!!

About Me

I am a Hawaii-born girl "transplanted" in Seattle. I came here for school, met my husband Alex and never left. I dream of moving "home" to Hawaii someday, but yet at the same time have a hard time imagining leaving behind the friends and the life that I have created in Seattle. Yes, I left what many people consider paradise to live in the city of coffee and clouds... SIGH. I do love life in Seattle though and if anything, it makes me appreciate the place of my childhood much more everytime I get to visit my family there!
The job that pays my bills is working for a telecom company as an account manager. What I really love doing though is being creative. I take lots of photos, make cards, scrapbook, make jewelry, knit, sew, and do home improvement projects. Exciting, I know. I also love cooking... another thing that allows me to create. Of course it leads to eating which is another activity I live for (you Hawaii people know what I mean!).
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I will do anything for a good friend and expect nothing but their friendship in return. I like to have deep analytical conversations and on the flip side I like being silly and just laughing my head off. Doing anything is fun with good company! Recently I've found the more adventurous, kick-ass side of my personality. I've taken up boxing and rock climbing! For those of you who know me... YES, this girly girl is boxing and rock climbing -- and loving it!

My Interests

ROCK CLIMBING!!

Hanging out with Alex, friends & family... working out... okay, maybe not LOVE that... but I love eating and once I get off my butt to work out, I love how I feel... plus working out let's me eat! :-D Oh yeah, I enjoy cooking too! That goes hand in hand with eating :)

I love photography -- taking pictures & admiring good photos... Singing, Scrapbooking & Card-making (check it out at http://kellie.myctmh.com), Jewelry making, Reading a good book, and talking on the phone to catch up with friends!

Music:

Pretty eclectic - a little bit of most everything... except for stuff that gives me a headache! :P ...Pop, R&B, Hawaiian, Reggae, I don't really know how to categorize what I listen to... just not Punk, or Hard Core Alternative/Rock stuff....

--- pretty mellow stuff usually-- Jack Johnson, Joss Stone, Maroon5, Michael Buble, Rob Thomas/Matchbox Twenty, James Blunt, Daniel Powter, John Mayer, Norah Jones, Christina Aguilera, Kelly Clarkson.... sometimes fun dance-y stuff -- Shakira, BEP, PussyCat Dolls, Beyonce/Destiny's Child... others -- Ingrid Michaelson, KT Tunstall, Amy Winehouse, The Carpenters, Daughtry, Vicci Martinez, James Taylor, Carole King, Joshua Radin, Jason Mraz, John Legend, The Fray, Na Leo Pilimehana, Kapena, IZ, Gregory Isaacs, Bob Marley

Movies:

Pretty much any cheesy ROMANTIC COMEDY.... but Sweet Home Alabama and My Best Friend's wedding and Pretty Woman are at the top. Or LOVE STORY--- The Notebook

I'm game for a good epic (as long as there's a love story of course!)... Gladiator, Cold Mountain, Brokeback Mountain, Memoirs of a Geisha

Classic: Top Gun -- I have little bro Jeff to thank for that -- he watched it practically everyday afterschool for like a year... at least! It was that or Pee Wee's big adventure which is NOT in my top list.

Action: Spiderman 1,2 & 3! (the action is cool... but again, it's really about the love story)

Television:

...thanks to DVR, I can watch them anytime I am bored or want to procrastinate! :)
Law & Order -- any one of them, but SVU is the best! Prison Break, ER, Grey's Anatomy -- thanks for getting me hooked Maile, Days of Our Lives -- blame grandma for that one American Idol... of course! and The Daily Show -- fake news=the best news! :)

Heroes:

My parents, grandparents, Alex, my friends. People who give selflessly for the good of others.
