Collecting Titanic and Nautical Memoribilia (This is not referencing the Movie, "Rose and Jack" were not real people...although I have to give the movie props because it did open up some new interest and provide alot of really good books, recordings, reproductions etc) also Graphic Art, Music, Music and Art Production, Meeting People, Travel and of course Cruising!Lastly, as one of our fellow My Space Friends said, "we collect (people) friends!"
We have been fortunate enough to meet alot of really cool people (Presidents, World Leaders, Professional Athletes, Entertainers, Rock Stars, Astronuats etc.) and alot of them have allowed us to spend a little time with them and be a friend or part of the family. We've come to know that no matter how much money or fame a person has, they are still human, just like you and just like me.We've met folks before they became "known" and we've met a few who's spotlight has passed for now. We know many folks behind the scenes as well, and we know they really are stars themself!!! Everyone shines in their own way. We've always respected the time and space of others (famous or not), and for that reason we don't kiss and tell, they know who they are, and if they are reading this, they know we love them!!!We've known a few folks that have passed beyond this world (too many), some of whom we had spoken to not 24 hours before they left us to go to the next stage. It's tough but that last goodbye... well it wasn't really forever... because we know we'll see them again. So who would we like to meet, lets just say anyone we can call a "friend," there's really no one specifically on this list.
Just about anything. . . Amy Grant, Harry Connick Jr, Chicago, Don Ho, Poison . . . It's a big world out there, why limit yourself? Music sets the mood.... We actually have a Wall Of Fame in our bonus room with photos and autographs of about every person or group we've seen in concert..it goes from folks like Louise Mandrell to KISS and some local bands that really kick butt.
Oh there's so many...Gone With The Wind, Roadhouse (this movie has something for everyone, action, violence, love sex, friendships and a storyline), Wizard Of Oz (classic), Ocean's Eleven (not the sequels), Cars, Pirates Of The Carribean, Dirty Dancing, Grease, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (aka Willie Wonka...the Gene Wilder one), we have like 200 DVD's and probably that many VHS tapes too.
21 Jumpstreet, North And South (mini series), House, ER (but liked the older casts), Gilligan's Island, Happy Days, Law and Order, sad to say American Idol too...but I wouldn't say we are glued to any shows to be honest, we tape very littl eand if we miss one...we can continue to live.
Historical Coffee Table Books, Trivia Books (especially Uncle John's Bathroom Readers), Biographys
Our Parents and Family, our Pets (who are family too)...they've gone through so much for us, could there be anyone else? Also to those folks who have gone .. us.....keep a light on and we'll get there eventually.
