FREE MUSIC DOWNLOADSAnd yet another project of Greg Goudey, founder of San Diego band Chanauk and other electronic based projects such as Sold Out Whore and Soul Projector. Greg's musical background spans sixteen years when he joined his first METAL band (Sanitys Void), as their vocalist in 1992. Since then he had taken the same postion for two other hard rock/metal bands until 1996 when his interest shifted towards electronica and he began djing a year later. The next natural progression for him would be to dive into the world of producing his own music and he started producing dance music under the guise of Soul Projector in 2003, which proved to be a rewarding endeavor as he released a dance record on One Shot Recordings that went on to be a club hit worldwide in 2005.
Enter the Nomad 927 project in 2006 that started off as a form of release for Greg at a time when he was immersed in deep emotional matters and life changing events. His work was discovered on myspace by Japanese cyber punk writer Kenji Siratori and a couple of independent film writers who asked him if he "would be interested in composing some soundscape for their future works", of course he was indeed interested ! To date, Nomad 927 work has been featured in an independent film (RUBIKA) and more recently, a short video produced by himself.
As of late 2008 Greg has put together a full band (Chanauk) that falls into his hard rock/metal influences, were he hopes to incorporate the moods inspired by Nomad 927 into a more direct medium featuring crushing heavy guitar riffs, an earth shaking rythym section and Gregs signature vocal style.
Nomad 927 will continue to work on original sound scores for his band and any one who would like to collaborate for film and other sound experiments.See also, the CHANAUK myspace profile, his Soul Projector profile for more dance oriented electronica as well as Iris Motor for a more organic acoustic feel and, Sold Out Whore (industrial / dark downtempo)
