Well, many things interest me. I guess you could say I am easily amused. I love reading, and I do quite a bit. I love to hike, backpack, climb, and just do things that involve nature. I would love to do the John Muir trail. I love to eat. I am a vegetarian, and take great pleasure in making tasty vegetarian food, and then of course eating it with good wine. I am a pretty active person who loves soccer the very best team sport in the world. I also like to run, swim, bicycle, and climb. I love talking about hallucinogens, experiences, reading accounts, etc. I love dancing most freely to Blue Turtle Seduction, what a fantastic time. Theory!!!!! Mostly social.
People who have a deep respect for nature, the high sierra in particular. Climbers!!!!
The Beatles. I have every album, although I like their later stuff much more than the pop-I-want-to-hold-your-hand stuff. The White Album, Abbey Road, Revolver, Rubber Soul, Let It Be, and Magical Mystery Tour are probably the best albums ever made : ) Some of my friends hate the Beatles and I just don't understand. Blue Turtle Seduction, Hot Buttered Rum Radiohead!!!! I went on a huge Dave Matthews kick. I still like them, but it has come down from an obsession. Mason Jennings. John Coltrane, My Morning Jacket, White Stripes, The Greatful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Classical, The Decembrists, Franz Ferdinand, Xavier Rudd, Jethro Tull, Bob Dylan, Modest Mouse, Arctic Monkeys, Andrew Bird, Damien Rice, Portishead, Garage A Trois, Tapes n' Tapes, Weezer, Zeppelin, Mingus,
I hate TV. The bad outweighs the good. Television, the media, is owned by corporations and therefore facilitates their interests. So make sure you go out and spend, and make sure you subscribe to all those narrowly defined identities it offers : )
Oh yes. My most favorite book (this changes as I read more, but for now) is Sometimes A Great Notion by Kesey. Kesey is a genius. I have been on a Joyce Carol Oates kick lately, she has a borderline sick mind, and I like it :).In the non-fiction arena I am reading Judith Butler's Bodies That Matter (for my thesisgood queer theory). I am also reading The End of Nature, which is so depressing, so I have to put it down for chunks of time. Mary Mellors Feminism and Ecology. I love to read about shamanism. Daniel Pichbeck's Breaking Open The Head was pretty good, and he mentions a lot of authors I would like to read who are experts on entheogens. Phikal. DMT: The Spirit Molecule I love Steinbeck too. East of Eden. Kurt Vonnegut. Feminist Theory, Queer Theory, Peter Berger, Feminist nature writers, The World According to Garp, Gyn/Ecology, Everything Is Illuminated, Beloved, Karl Fendelander,
