Here is more about me. I was born in the UK then brought up in Morocco before returning to England when I was seven. I live with my mum in Bethnal Green in London’s East End. I has a musician boyfriend Terry, 27. I, who appeared briefly in the movie Alien Vs Predator and had modelled for Coca-Cola,I accept landing the Lara role is a “huge break.” It also saved My career. I admit: “It has taken me a long time to get here. I was about to quit modelling. Going to all the castings was getting a bit tiresome and I wanted to do photography. “Then this happened. It must have been a sign to stick with it. “When I heard I had been chosen I was gobsmacked. I’m a Tomb Raider fan and played the games as a kid.” As for me I will now go on a worldwide tour to promote the new game, starting in America next week followed by visits to Canada and Europe, including the UK. I admit winning the part will not sink in until the first time i'm mobbed by blokes desperate for my autograph. What i say about Lara: “Lara Croft is one of the sexiest women on the planet so to be cast as her is such a huge compliment. At the audition I had to get into the costume and the first time was very nerve-racking. But it is so empowering and exciting to realise you are about to become a fantasy figure. I have to act as Lara, so I am having elocution lessons and learning how to be a lady all over again. I’ve also got to go on an SAS training course and learn how to ride a motorcycle. Becoming Lara means being strong, ladylike yet rugged and very sexy. As Lara I can do anything I want and not have to explain it. After all, who is going to mess with me?” But while I am ecstatic, there is another man in my life who has a slight worry. I said: “My mum was very happy for me but Dad said, ‘Oh dear, what are you going to be wearing?’ ” lol Who am i? Well i'm Lara Croft this is what she is all about. At the age of nine, Lara survived a plane crash in the Himalayan mountains that resulted in the death of her mother. She has been hailed both as an archaeological wunderkind and a glorified treasure hunter, depending of whom you listen to. There are thousands of rumors surrounding Lady Croft's exploits, invariably involving the unexplained or outright unbelievable. Lady Croft herself is, unfortunately, never available for comment, which further adds to the veil of mystery that surrounds her life and work. Consequently, Lady Croft continues to be the focus of wild speculation and intense debate. Idealized and vilified in equal measure, she is perhaps one of the most fascinating and enigmatic figures of our times. The 2006 inductees will be honored at a press and industry-only event at Metreon on March 16, where this years stars will be unveiled. To celebrate, we are putting together a special event for the fans. If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, or can make their way over to the Metreon on Thursday, March 16th, you can have an opportunity to meet the beautiful Lara Croft model, Karima Adebibe, talk to members of the Crystal Dynamic’s development team, and play a small portion of the upcoming game Tomb Raider: Legend! The only catch is that there is a limited amount of time and space, so we have to limit this special event to only 100 people. We will be putting together an RSVP form, on the official website, which will go live at precisely 1PM PST, Monday, March 13th. After the spots are filled, the form will be closed, and then if you were one of the lucky ones that nab yourself a spot at the event, you will be notified by email. Since this has the ability to be an extremely popular event, we ask that you only RSVP if you can attend the event.
