About Me

Thanks for Visiting myspace!I've decided to update myspace after three years of neglect. I guess I got really turned to the social networking scene when it became a product of consumerism. It seems now its more about mass marketing and advertising then putting yourself out there and trying to meet people. Anyways I guess I've given in to it again and Im going to use this space as a host for some of my work, and as an oppertunity to foster collaboration.Anyways when I first made this site I was still in High School. I just had a track featured on the Gorrillaz website. I was making mostly Drum and Bass and Trance. I was accepted into a performing arts school in Long Island New York, called the Cultural Arts Center . It was strange at first being in a community of so many other talented artists. I was the first Music Technology Student they ever had. It was difficult being the only non-performer there, my electronic music didnt jive so well with the classical educators. As a result of my surroundings Jazz and Classical music began assimilate into my work. At the same time i was discovering modern art music for the first time, everything seemed so fresh and exciting. I met some of my best friends at that school.Moving on I spent the next two years at the SUNY Purchase Music Conservatory studying Studio Composition. I had wonderful teachers and a great mentor. I've had some pretty memorable life experiances at this school. Most importantly I got to hear my music performed by some incredible performers, and had some great jams with my homies. I wrote my first film score, had dancers perform in manhattan accompanied by my music for the first time. I had the luxury to explore lots of different music and to experiment, i feel this time really gave me alot of tools I can utilize when I am in the music making process. I also the met the love of my life who continues to teach me so much about live that I could never learn simply trodding away with my work.I moved to California to Study at California Institute of the Arts. Initially was studying Music Technology but shifted gears as became more and more passionate about scoring film and other media. Since the Cultural Arts Center, people have always mentioned how my work has a cinematic quality. It would be a fitting gig considering my introversion and lack of interest in being in the spot light. Calarts is a great school consilidated with such diverse talent. I have been immersing myself in Music across many cultures while refining my production and compositional craft.I have been working with a company developing an educational Music DVD. Essentially its like kareoke with tablature and notation. It's a deeply gratifying experiance knowing that my commitment to this project can potentially lead to musicians of any age understand or develop their musicianship on a deeper level.I also have been interning with the Composer Collective, an organization of Film Composers. I have recently been composing cues for a film about the navy seals in Iraq.I have a website coming soon that will feature streaming videos and audio.
