About Me

I am just a woman who woke up one day and realized that time flew by. I have seven children. Two stepdaughters and five children of my own. Ashley,26, Justin,24 ,Brittany,18, Aaron,13, Tiffany,11, Nichole,23, and Corrin, 21 yrs old. I live in a beautiful mountain resort town that I love. I adore my children and for some strange reason they adore me. We love spending time together and it's one of my favorite things to do. I am one happy & lucky Mommy!! Right now I am trying to grow and mature emotionally in as painless a way as I can, but it never happens that way. I am trying to adjust & deal with all the stuff that everybody has to deal with as they get older, and what's that infamous adage "Age is but a number". Well, I believe that. I am young at heart!! And in my mind, i'm still in my 20's!! Well, maybe my 30's, o.k.? I am currently writing lots of stuff about life, and my observations on it. I am also trying to get my daughter Ashley to illustrate my visions for the children's books I have that are already written. I used to sing in a garage band in the '80's. And now i'm looking at putting together a band to kick it with & make music! I have always lived & breathed music! I can't live without it! I am very creative, and very fun to be around. I can get too silly, in fact, and then be very quiet and reflective. I read like a major nerd. I looove to read! I ALWAYS have a book!! I am a positive thinker and, well, life is beautiful!! More to come as this story unfolds...

My Interests

Writing the Great American Novel.... Hiking, working out, baking, shopping, writing poetry, short stories, and meditating, & being in love. I am a great romantic.

I'd like to meet:

People of all walks of life & interests, as long as they are not negative. I also like positive, fun, & nurturing people.

Music:

Ohhhh myyy goshhhhh.... I told you how i feel about music. Music is the soul's lifeline. Heart is my favorite band Anne Wilson & Nancy Wilson can play & sing like nobody's business. Led Zeppelin is next with Jimmy Page with his soulful guitar, and Robert Plant with his searing, sexy vocals. Black Sabbath, Ten Years After, Jimi Hendrix still gets me in a fever whenever I see him playing at the Monterey Pop Festival in '67 on t.v. All of the greats from the Laurel Canyon era, and the greats who came after move me to heights incomparable. It's simple, it's music. I personally think that the guitar is the heart & soul of the structure of a song. It's always been my favorite instrument because I feel like it speaks to me. Whether it's heartbreaking or hot 'n sexy doesn't matter, it is vibrantly alive, shaking me down to my very core, bringing emotions out of me that can annihilate me. Dramatic, aren't I? The Doors, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Steve Vai, Alvin Lee, Jeff Beck, Tony Iommi, Pat Benatar, Eddie Van Halen...The Rolling Stones...Joe Perry... You get the drift...

Movies:

I love scary movies, tearjerkers like The Notebook, Braveheart, 300, And hilarous spoof movies.

Television:

HGTV, guilty pleasures like Rock of Love, I love New York, Age of Love, Charm School, and Bam's Unholy Union, & The Girl's Next Door. I love the Food Netwrk, and home shows, CNN, Larry King Live, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, & Mindfreak. Oh, yeah, Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, Bones, and The Ghost Whisperer.

Books:

All of Marianne Williamson, Anne Rice, Iyanla VanZant, Patricia Cornwell, Luanne Rice, James Patterson, books about history, psychics, biographies, rock musician or rock wife or girlfriend memoirs. Love and mystery. And all and anything that Pamela Des Barres has written, she, who has come before all, has blessed us with her magic.

Heroes:

Jesus, my Courageous & Beautiful Mommy, my Daddy, my beautiful children, Pamela Des Barres, Ann & Nancy Wilson, Oprah, Maya Angelou, Iyanla VanZant, Allison DuBois, Montell Williams, Dr Phil, and his wife Robin. All teachers who are truly there for the children, Nelson Mandela, and the women of the past who have blazed their trail against all odds, for the betterment of all.
