Destined to bring a piece of Heaven to earth, Janee [pronounced ja'nay] epitomizes the ability to touch and bless the hearts of people through music. With a style that can't be classified into one genre, this young artist grafts elements of R&B, gospel, contemporary jazz, and urban soul into one comprehensive sound. Possessing musical abilities as diverse as her style, Janee is poised and prepared to share the divine gift she has been given.
Writing her first song at age 3 and starting piano lessons at age 6, Janee has become a trend-setting and talented arranger, songwriter, musician, and singer. She began her career featuring on projects with N.i.F.T.Y. and Canada's hip-hop/soul sensation Promise. Winning a Covenant Award in 2002 for her song writing ability on Alright, a track that was co-written with Promise, Janee began to attract the attention of industry professionals. Aside from touring with Carl Henry, Janee has performed as a background vocalist for Patricia Shirley, Keshia Chante and has shared venues with seasoned artists such as Black Eyed Peas, Glenn Lewis, Fred Hammond and Mary Mary. A gifted actress as well, Janee has worked on television and movie sets with the likes of Dave Hollister, NSync, Destiny's Child, Jon B. and Rodney 'Darkchild' Jerkins. With the versatility and flair that has brought Janee this far and allowed her to make a rather sizeable entry into the musical scene, there is no question about the success of her future as an artist.
Inspired by Beyonce, Alicia Keys, and Aaliyah but maintaining a sound thats unique and all her own, Janee is preparing to release her own debut project.
