About Me

Ryan and I had a baby Mister Kather! We are settling into our exciting roles as parents, and loving every minute of it. Xander is so much fun and I can't imagine my life without him! (who would have pegged me as the mushy mom type...lol) I am back to the ICU working part time now and it still feels like it is too much time away from my two favorite guys, (although my awesome coworkers make up for it)! I look forward to starting grad school in the next couple of years to become a Nurse Anesthetist. Just have to finish up a few of the requirements for admission. A STERILE OR and pushing drugs all day while watching surgeries definitely seems like my cup of tea! Can't wait to run when they call "Anesthesia Stat" overhead!

My Interests

My little family, my friends, my evil (but cute) rat dogs, travel, nursing, living the good life and fighting the good fight.

I'd like to meet:

..
..In the After life: Thomas Jefferson, Leonardo Davinci, Jesus, Khalil Gibran, Betty Paige, Frank Sinatra, Al Capone, and Benny Goodman.Within my Lifetime: Steven Hawking,

Music:

I like it all... as long as its gotta good beat. Personally I lean toward music with a message (i.e. PUNK) or emotion/feeling (i.e. Jazz, Trip Hop)
Who Should Paint You: Gustav Klimt
Sensual and gorgeous, you would inspire an enchanting portrait..
With just enough classic appeal to be hung in any museum! What Artist Should Paint Your Portrait?

Movies:

Amelie, The Never Ending Story, The Life Aquatic, Office Space, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle, Goonies, Casablanca, The Grinch that Stole Christmas (the cartoon of course!), The Wizard of Oz, and usually anything Tim Burton style. I try to stay away from the sad ones because I am a wretched crier. I hit an all time low when I sobbed during the "Corpse Bride". The corspe bride just had to be named Emily...

..

Television:

PBS documentaries (sad I know, but they are riveting in HD), Heroes!!!, X-Files, The Sopranos, Carnivale, Medium...

Books:

1984, Brave New World, Parable of the Sower, Neuromancer, Anna Karenina, Wicked, The Hobbit, The Chronicles of Narnia. Lately I have been reading way too much about child development as I try to craft a super baby. Just joking... kinda...lol. Lately I have been reading literary masterpieces such as Winnie the Pooh, Curious George, and The Hungry Caterpillar to Xander everyday... I can't wait until he is old enough for Harry Potter or LOTR!

Heroes:

Ryan Kather, Commander Xander, and Chuck Norris

Myspace is a disease

All I have to say is that Myspace is a disease. I can dodge clostridium difficile, VRE, and Hepatitis C at work in the hospital, but I finally fell prey to the epidemic (pandemic maybe even) that is m...
