About Misato: Captain, later Major, Misato Katsuragi is the Chief of Operations in NERV. Lives with Shinji Ikari (3rd Child), Asuka Langley Sorhyu (2nd Child), and PenPen (A warm water penguin). She has purple/raven hair. She was the only person to witness the 2nd Impact at close range and survive, however that was an event wich left her catatonic for several years. Misato's fridge (before the children move in) consits of beer (1/2), snacks and instant food. She has an old boyfriend Ryoji Kaji, and the head of Science and Medical for NERV, Ritsuko Akagi, both of whom whe attended university with. As the series progresses she begins to treat the children like her own children.
