Starting out in the music industry as a rapper, Paul Jones, businessman and entrepreneur switched careers and became vice president of operations at TAVI records based out of Minneapolis. It was at this time that Jones, founded 306 Entertainment, an independent street marketing and promotions company, handling projects for major label artists in the Minneapolis area. Eventually, 306 Entertainment was revamped and began functioning as a full service record label.
Their first project: Knowledge MC. Jones worked with Knowledge from the very beginning. He helped take his music which originally was centered on negativity and focus it in a different direction. Since then, 306s roster has expanded to add two other artists who share similar messages. Jamecia Bennett who is the daughter of the renowned gospel singer, Ann Nesby and J. Isaac, who falls into the genre of R&B.
Our music provides the same edgy street vibe and energy that kids listen to today, but with a more positive and uplifting messagesame vibe, different content, explains CEO, Jones.
