Started doing pause button editing in 1984 with my trusty old binatone hifi...Used to edit electro and Hip Hop together then lash out tapes to my friends..I started breakdancing at the same time and joined a crew called "The Electro Smurfs" with 3 lads and one girl...Did not last long as i went solo in 85...I started to dj in 85 with 2 old HiFi turntables with no pitch what so ever and a realistic mixer which had a cross fader the length of a street....Did alot of Graffiti aswell from 85 to 90 with my good friend code under the name Brothers Of Art....In 1990 i got my 1st pair of Technics SL1200...I started to mix electro, breaks and techno together..In 1991 one of my tapes found its way to Wear FM radio station in Sunderland and they liked the stuff i was doing...Later i got a call from HUEY wanting me to play on his Thursday nite show which i did (i was buzzing)...Later my good friend SMOOVE broke the news to me that i had a Monday night slot...From there the Elavation Crew was born...Me and my brother SPEN did a long spell with the radio from 91 to 94...In 96 i stoped Dj'ing as the buzz left me and went into producing my own music............NOW the buzz is back to start Dj'ing again....So watch out Peace......YOZ
