ABOUT THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR: KRISTA ALYSSA MEDLOCKOwner of Dahlia’s Bloom Inc, and Executive Director of National Distinguished Women Depth of Beauty Pageant, Krista has over a decade of pageant and modeling experience. This journey began at the age of 18 with her first pageant, Miss Dallas USA. Walking away as a high-score contender and a competition spot at the televised Miss Texas USA, Krista rapidly began a successful tenure in the pageant industry. She is a former Miss Lake Highlands USA, Miss Highland Park USA and Miss Richardson, which afforded her the opportunity of competing at Miss Texas within the USA and America pageant systems. There are many facets to Krista’s experience and involvement in the pageant and modeling industry. She has served as a state, local and national judge for several local, state, national and international pageant systems. For over 8 years, she was the Coordinator and Consultant for the Miss Black and Gold Pageant for the local collegiate level competitions and a coordinator for the State collegiate competition. As an independent pageant and modeling coach, she inspired several local, state and regional winners within various pageant systems. As it relates to the modeling industry, Krista has had experience with promotional, trade show and fashion show modeling. She has been an instructor for Barbizon Modeling School of Dallas for over 8 years. Having worn many additional hats, such as, Model Scout, Fashion Show Coordinator, Make-up Artist and Choreographer, she believes in promoting an appreciation and understanding of complete beauty.As a graduate of Southern Methodist University, Krista’s career development was in marketing and advertising, specializing in new product development and brand management within the health and beauty industries. She created and managed several profitable, national and international brands for large-scale retailers, manufacturers and distributors. With her knowledge of consumer packaged goods and product development, she served as a point of contact and consultant of new product launches for notable and trendsetting beauty brands.She is an accomplished motivational speaker, authoress and workshop facilitator. Krista imparts inspiring messages and exemplifies passion and eloquence within the areas of purpose, potential, effective verbal and non-verbal communication, poise and posture, leadership, image and social etiquette… just to name a few. She specializes in curriculum development. Her philosophy…“Don’t Back Out of Life”.Servitude is a priority for Krista. She has given her time and heart to organizations such as, DIFFA, Wednesday’s Child, Austin Street Shelter, Junior Achievement, March of Dimes, Veterans Hospital, American Heart Association, Food Pantry, Girl’s Inc, Make-A-Wish Foundation, SMU’s Women’s Symposium and Special Olympics.She has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and drill. She is a certified group exercise instructor and personal fitness trainer. Krista loves discovering new ways to living a more meaningful life and is a true sentimentalist. She embraces opportunity, unyieldingly seeks knowledge and fervently shares her wisdom gifts and experience.
